What Is Norway In A Nutshell ?
Norway in a Nutshell is a customisable tour package that takes visitors on a scenic journey through Norway’s fjords, mountains, and valleys.
Contrary to its name, this is a platform (fjordtours) that lets you add activities and then provides you with a timetable after catering for the necessary timings.
After which, you can book all the necessary tickets easily. Of course, this comes at a cost.
After spending a few months in Sweden, I heard from my friends about this extremely scenic tour that goes from Oslo to Bergen.
As Xuan Pei is visiting me in Sweden, we decided to take this beautiful tour from Oslo to Bergen.
Can You Do Norway In A Nutshell In One Day?

Why Should You DIY Norway In A Nutshell?
Although the FjordTours platform offers a straightforward, one-stop solution for planning your trip, this convenience has a price.
A DIY version of Norway in a Nutshell is an option for individuals on a tight budget.
By planning the entire trip ourselves, we were able to save about NOK 1000/SGD 128/USD 96 (for 2 pax) for our scenic route tour from Oslo to Bergen.
What To Pack?
Before embarking on your journey, make sure to pack appropriately for Norway’s unpredictable weather.

We took this route in early February winter, therefore we had to wear thick layers of clothings.
While there is not much walking, it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes during the rides.
It’s also a good idea to bring some snacks and drinks as the trip is relatively long. Alternatively, there are cafe and restaurant along the way which you can buy food.
